Kylie Pollock

Accessibility Manager, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Founder of A11yPals Accessibility Consulting

Kylie (aka the Hairbow Hippie) is a trained accessibility professional from Australia. Kylie comes from a software engineering background and moved into the accessibility space approximately 5 years ago. Kylie he has worked with large organisations including IBM and currently works for Australia’s largest bank, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). Additionally, Kylie is the founder of A11yPals Accessibility Consulting through which she hopes to assist other organisations, especially not-for-profits, with their digital accessibility journey.

OZeWAI is focused on enabling people with disabilities to participate in the digital space with dignity on an equal basis. Through her work with OZeWAI, Kylie is working to implement Digital Accessibility Apprenticeships within Australia, to alleviate the current skill gaps in the industry, while also creating additional pathways to employment for Australians with disabilities.

Kylie lives with photosensitivity, C-PTSD, Chronic Daily Migraines and Cluster Headaches, which just means she is not afraid of hard work, or a little (or even a lot for that matter) of pain. Kylie is most noted for the array of colorful hairbows which adorn her short hair. She currently owns more than 50 hairbows and is soon to be the founding member of "Hairbows Anonymous."
