Kylie Pollock

Accessibility Manager, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Founder of A11yPals Accessibility Consulting
Kylie (aka the Hair bow Hippie) is a trained accessibility professional from Australia. Kylie comes from a software engineering background and moved into the accessibility space over 5 years ago, following a life changing medical event.
Kylie has worked with large and small organisations including Australia’s largest insurance agency, Australia’s largest bank, Australian Disability Network, Australian and New Zealand government departments and has contributed to the New Zealand government’s Web Accessibility Guidance Program. Kylie is currently an active member of OZeWAI (a not-for-profit digital accessibility professional membership organisation) working on a sub-committee focused on bringing Digital Accessibility Traineeships to Australia to alleviate the current skill gaps in the industry.
Kylie lives with photosensitivity, C-PTSD, Chronic Daily Migraines and Cluster Headaches, which just means she is not afraid of hard work, a little (or even a lot for that matter) pain! Kylie is most recognisable from the array of colourful hairbows which adorn her short hair and the roller-skates generally strapped to her feet. Kylie currently owns more than 50 hairbows and is soon to be the founding member of "Hairbows Anonymous."
