Accessibility Statement

Knowbility is a advocacy and training organization with the mission of ensuring digital equity - a world in which disabled people equally participate as content producers and consumers in the digital world. In that spirit, we offer and maintain the following Accessibility Statement for this website Knowbility.org. We adhere to the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium.

As a nonprofit mission driven organization, we have worked for more than 25 years to build vibrant community around the powerful idea that technology must be designed and developed to be available and usable by all people, regardless of disability. In that spirit, we pursue the following practices to ensure the accessibility of our own digital communications and interactive systems.


Measures to support accessibility

We maintain the following practices to ensure that accessibility is built in to and sustained across this web site and associated platforms:

  • Provide continual accessibility training for our staff.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Knowbility.org is fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard with no exceptions.
