Craig Edgley

Craig Edgley is a secondary math teacher who is blind. He has been working in the education industry for 6 years and has been teaching for 4 years. Since the onset of the pandemic, he has gained a great deal of experience navigating the barriers associated with using the JAWS and Voice Over screen reader software's to facilitate virtual teaching and learning on the Google Classroom online learning management system and the Zoom Video Conferencing platform. He is currently finishing his Master's in Education at Texas Tech University and is taking virtual classes using the Blackboard online learning management system as well. He is going to share about his personal experience with screen reader barriers that he has encountered as both a teacher and student using screen readers in virtual teaching and learning.
