Jan McSorley

Director of Strategy, Knowbility


Jan McSorley brings more than 27 years of experience advancing accessibility across education, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. She began her career in K–12 education as a special educator and Assistive Technology Specialist, developing deep expertise in how individuals with disabilities access digital content and technology. She later served as Vice President of Accessibility for Psychometrics & Testing Services at Pearson, where she built and led a team of 23 accessibility specialists supporting accessibility across large-scale digital assessment and content systems. Jan currently serves as Director of Strategy at Knowbility, where she leads accessibility consulting engagements that help organizations integrate accessibility into digital platforms, educational content, and enterprise operations. She also contributes to international accessibility standards as an Invited Expert on the Cognitive Accessibility Task Force (COGA) and as Co-Chair of the W3C Global-Inclusion Community Group, providing input to the W3C Accessibility Guidelines Working Group on improving accessibility guidance for global audiences. Jan holds the CPACC credential from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) and is a certified Trusted Tester through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
