Jan McSorley
Director of Strategic Services, Knowbility
Jan McSorley serves as a strategic consultant to Knowbility. She has worked in education and corporate settings and has witnessed the difference inclusion and accessibility can make and how they lead to more innovative solutions. She now works as an accessibility consultant to eliminate barriers to access for people with disabilities.
Jan began her career as an assistive technology specialist in the Austin Independent School District. Inspired by the potential of technology to create truly inclusive learning environments, she earned a Master’s degree in Instructional Design with a focus on accessibility of dynamic learning platforms. She served 10 years as VP of Accessibility at Pearson Learning and currently provides guidance to Knowbility’s academic clients. Jan holds leadership roles at various W3C Working Groups supporting the ongoing evolution of the WCAG standards.
