John Neumann, Ph.D.

John helped launch the first graduate and undergraduate Accessibility classes at UT-Austin. Since authoring and proposing the Master's-level course in 2019, he has been teaching the same, and went on to author and teach the first undergraduate-level A11y course in the Spring of 2023. John is also a veteran of industry, and over the past 20 years he's held UX leadership roles in Tech, Healthcare, and Financial Services at firms including Dell, IBM, Cigna, and Visa. He has been successful blending industry and institutional insights in creating learning experiences that inspire students, teams, and companies to take on Accessibility challenges and create lasting organizational change.
