Senior Accessibility Instructor and Developer,
Carie Fisher is an author, speaker, and developer with over 15 years of tech experience who is passionate about the intersection of front-end code and UX, digital accessibility, and diversity in technology. Carie works as an independent Senior Accessibility Consultant and Trainer while also pursuing her Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interactions at Iowa State University. In her spare time, Carie likes to travel, garden, and engage with the accessibility and open source dev communities. She is the creator of the Accessibility (A11Y) Style Guide, the Accessibility (A11Y) Talks virtual meet-up on YouTube, and the originator of the A11y Cats design.
