Sam Kanta, PhD, is the Lead Accessibility Specialist at Northwestern Mutual, with over 20 years of experience in the strategy, design, and execution of digital products and services for Fortune 500 Companies. She is an Invited Expert to the W3C and a member of the Pronunciation Task Force - a group focused on how to provide proper pronunciation in HTML content using text to speech (TTS). Sam is committed to inclusive design research and is currently investigating ways artificial intelligence models in applications can be used to remove accessibility barriers.
