CEO, Equalize Digital
Amber Hinds is the CEO of Equalize Digital, a website accessibility consulting firm striving to create a world where all people have equal access to information and tools on the internet, regardless of ability. Since 2010, Amber has collaborated on and led design and development teams building websites and web applications for nonprofits, K-12 and higher education institutions, government agencies, and businesses of all sizes. User experience has always been a primary focus of Amber's work, and after having the opportunity to experience first-hand the importance of accessible websites through a blind acquaintance, she founded Equalize Digital. At the end of 2020, Equalize Digital launched Accessibility Checker, a plugin which scans WordPress sites for accessibility problems and displays the results on the post edit screen to make it easier for content managers and developers to identify accessibility problems while they're editing the website. Amber is a corporate member of IAAP, frequently speaks on accessibility-related topics, and has been featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and CNBC, among other media outlets.
