Jeremy Schmidt

I am a Senior Accessibility Tester at McGraw Hill Education with 20 years of experience in the digital accessibility space. Combining my background in teaching individuals with disabilities and a deep passion for inclusive design, I specialize in manual testing methods to uncover common issues that automated tools often miss. At McGraw Hill, I work to ensure products meet accessibility standards by reporting issues and validating fixes through cross functional collaboration with design and development teams. I build internal knowledge and understanding by leading the MHE A11y Alliance, a monthly collective call that brings together educators, accessibility professionals, and advocates to discuss emerging technologies and strategies for supporting diverse learners. Beyond work, I'm an avid mountaineer and backpacker, and enjoy exploring the outdoors with Telli, my caffeinated border collie.
