Michelle D’Souza has been working in digital accessibility for over 2 decades. With a background in software development, she has focused on building inclusive and accessible software that is flexible and customizable for individuals based on their preferences and context. Michelle has been involved in all stages of the software creation process from planning and facilitating co-design in diverse communities, to contributing to widely used production software. She has been working to build knowledge about inclusive co-design in existing open education and co-operative communities and has a deep interest in worker empowerment through various strategies including worker owned coops. Michelle is an artist at heart with a love of fibre arts and dance.
