Session Summary
Having a sustainable and comprehensive accessibility program is essential for companies building software products, but what makes it successful? In this interactive session, we will explore and build a framework for a successful program together.
Description
Building a sustainable and comprehensive accessibility program within tech companies developing software products can be a daunting task with questions from where to start, how to win over champions, how to fund it, how to measure success, and how to sustain it. At Watermark, our accessibility journey started with a narrow focus and shoestring budget, then spread to a passion filled company-wide program driving change in how we approach and talk about accessibility inside and outside of our product. In this interactive session, we will share our journey and walk through key cornerstones to developing and sustaining an accessibility program. We will also throw in how AI has most recently evolved our program. You will walk away with a start for your own plan as well as tips and tricks to drive change and avoid pitfalls along the way.
