This session will provide an overview of the design and development of accessible solutions for new criteria WCAG 2.1, which covers a variety of techniques focused on three groups of users: cognitive or learning impairments, low vision and people who access via mobile.
Participants will know and understand the most common barriers that users face through use cases with examples and good practices to design and develop usable and accessible solutions for everyone.
We will learn from the user needs understanding basic concepts, interactive experiences, brief explanations, tips and tricks for the following components:
- Context menu
- Tooltip
- Emojis picker
- Code snippet
- Non text contrast examples
- Status messages
Practical Skills
- Know and learn about the most common barriers that people with disabilities face daily and how our solutions should be based on the users’ needs.
- Understand the new criteria with use cases, examples and best practices.
- Gain insights on how to implement accessibility from design until a feature is tested.
