Disability Etiquette Guidance

Your primary duty is to give people directional help - help them figure out where their next session or activity is taking place, and how to get there.   If an attendee requests additional guidance, you may either escort them to their session (if it doesn’t leave your station unattended) or call for someone to come help.

When escorting someone, remember basic etiquette. Do not touch their assistive devices or service animals. Do not grab their arm, or physically move anyone. You may offer your arm for them to take, if they choose.
