What can I expect to learn at AccessU?

At the 2025 AccessU conference, you can expect to learn about the latest accessibility techniques and best practices, as well as gain hands-on experience with accessibility tools and technologies. The conference also features keynote speakers who are leaders in the accessibility field and case studies of real-world accessibility implementations.

Who should attend AccessU?

AccessU is designed for anyone interacting in digital spaces! This can include professionals and administrators from any field interested in making accessibility a priority as well as those who are involved in the creation and maintenance of digital products and services. Whether you're a developer, COO, or HR specialist, you'll come away with new skills, ideas, and community.

Is AccessU in person this year? Or virtual?

Both! We invite everyone to join us in person at St. Edward's University in Austin, TX or virtually through Zoom Events.

All keynotes, general sessions and Deep Dives (except for Usability Testing) will be available for all virtual attendees to participate live.

Where can I park?

All attendees need to sign up for a free parking pass - this is an electronic parking pass based on your vehicle’s license plate information. Please refer to the Hotels, Transportation and Parking page for details.

Is transportation provided?

Thanks to the support of Level Access, a free shuttle will run daily from the conference hotels to St. Edward's University and back. Please refer to the conference Shuttle Schedule for details.

Where am I going?

AccessU utilizes two main buildings of the St. Edward’s Campus, Trustee Hall and Ragsdale Center.

Where will the registration and onsite help desk be located?

  • Monday, May 12: in the Trustee Hall Lobby - and at Hyatt Regency evening keynote and reception.
  • Tuesday, May 13 through Thursday, May 15: in the L2 lobby of the Ragsdale Center, right inside the main front doors.
  • Accessible entrances are at the east and west entrances of the building

When does registration close?

Registration to check-in is available all day. Registration is available and open for the entire duration of the conference.

When are the keynotes and who are the speakers?

How can I access presentation materials?

All registered attendees will have access to the recordings and materials thru the end of the calendar year. You may access the recordings via the Zoom Events platform.

How do I complete Session Surveys?

  • Session feedback will be collected online via survey monkey. 
  • Links and QR codes will be shared at the end of each session. 

Where are the gender neutral bathrooms?

  • Ragsdale Center: There is one behind registration on L2. 
  • Trustee Hall: There is one designated on L2. (exact location TBD)

Where is the Quiet Room located?

  • We will be providing a room designated as quiet space in Ragsdale Center on L2. (Exact Location TBD)

When and Where are meals held?

Breakfast:

  • Monday: 08:00 AM - Trustee Hall Lobby
  • Tuesday through Thursday: 7:30 AM- 10:00 AM - Cafeteria in Ragsdale Center on L2.

Lunch:

  • Monday: 12:00 PM in Trustee Hall 
  • Tuesday through Thursday: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • 2 Locations in Ragsdale Center as follows: 
    • Attendees, including Instructors, Sponsors and Exhibitors: Mabee Ballroom located on L3 of Ragsdale Center. 
    • Event Staff, including Volunteers, Technical support team: Kresge Dining Hall located on L2 of Ragsdale Center.

Are there vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. options?

Yes, there will be vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options for meals.

  • Attendees & Volunteers are asked to notify us of dietary needs when registering. If you don’t you may not be offered dietary restricted options.

Where can I get coffee, tea, water, and/or snacks?

  • Water and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
  • There is a coffee shop in Ragsdale Center on L2.
  • Water bottle refill fountains are on the third floor of the Trustee Hall and Ragsdale Center buildings.

Where is the exhibitor hall and what hours is it open?

  • The Exhibitor hall is located in the Trustee Hall - Room 118 and will be open to attendees per the following:
    • Monday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
    • Tuesday and Wednesday: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm 
    • Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

When and where is the Ice Cream Truck?

  • The Ice Cream Truck will be stopping by Tuesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 14 between 3pm to 4pm. 
    • The truck will park in the parking lot between Trustee Hall and Ragsdale Center.
