Creating Accessibility Checks for Artificial Intelligence
taught by: Helen Burge
Session Summary
When it was highlighted some accessibility gaps in current code outputs, I was given a license to Windsurf to create checks to help build accessible code. This talk will run through my learning curves to help others create accessible code with AI.
Description
More development teams are relying on AI to code simple items. Often accessibility is not included in the default outputs.
When issues were found, often fixes go in but after the code is in production. Noticing this gap I was first informed I needed to provide a list of items for the team to use. After trialing this it was agreed that I should have a license to directly train the AI and then train the developers.
In this talk I will go through the experience and process for others to do the same.
Practical Skills
