How to Create an Accessible Travel Program

One of the fundamental issues with accessible travel is rooted in the inability to confidently know what will be available when we travel. Over the past 4 years a grassroots campaign led by industry and accessibility leaders has been underway to make travel searchable for all disabilities. Meet Your Presenters

    Andrew Slaiby

                

Andrew is a Corporate Travel Manager and a leading voice for accessible travel, whose work gained national recognition in 2022 when his GBTA Ladders team was named a finalist for a project on why searchability is essential to accessible travel. He launched the TAMS Advancing Accessibility in Travel campaign in 2023, interviewing people representing more than 30 disabilities, then consulted for the American Hotel & Lodging Association in 2024 and published 22 new accessibility standards in 2025, earning the TAMS Emerging Leader Award. Now in 2025 his work continues thru interviewing travelers with disabilities and speaking across the United States about what they have taught him, along with developing a new platform aimed at making travel searchable for all disabilities.
