Transcription Editor

We need a few volunteers to help us clean up the transcription files for the closed captioning on the recordings of our virtual events before we are able to post them to our YouTube page. We have a backlog of lectures from AccessU, as well as a number of monthly events that will need this attention, so this is an ongoing position.

Responsibilities

  • Replacing the YouTube automatic transcription script with the one provided by our live captioner

  • Cleaning up that new script, ensuring the captions match the speed and content
    of the audio

  • Checking for spelling/grammar errors

  • Checking for proper noun use (ex: changing nobility --> Knowbility)

  • Trimming the video of unneccessary content

Time Commitment

2-3 hours/video (time may vary based on video length)
