Tips and Tech for creating accessible docs in Higher Ed

Session Summary

We’ll discuss and demonstrate the tech (Central Access Reader/Toolbar, MathPix, the Adobe Suite, and Duxbury) we use at ACC to create accessible materials primarily for students with visual disabilities, including complex STEM documents and tactile graphics.

  • 1. Learn about the tools and tech used used to create materials for blind students in higher ed 2. How to create STEM documents that can be read with a screen reader. 3. How to create tactile graphics such as maps, graphs, and diagrams.
