Rita Fennelly-Atkinson is currently a Technology Design Coach at one of the largest urban school districts in Texas. She works with educators in the effective and developmentally appropriate implementation of technology for instructional use. In addition, she co-designs professional learning with the Technology Design Team to promote effective practices in blended and personalized learning through the integration of priority pedagogical practices, inclusion, accessibility, power skills, social-emotional learning, and cultural proficiency.
She is currently a doctoral candidate in Sam Houston State University’s Instructional Systems Design and Technology. Previously, she has served as a K12 special education curriculum specialist and secondary science teacher. Her passion is the accessible design of instruction to ensure that all learners have equitable access to instruction.
