Brent has been active in the education profession for over 28 years with experience in teaching, educational technology, K-12 administration, business development, online learning, online assessment, and accessibility. Throughout this period he has focused on helping others use technology as a tool for instruction and assessment, while continually focusing on the learners needs.
Most recently, Brent has been working for Pearson in the assessment division of the organization. He currently serves as the Director of Accessibility Strategy & Education Services in the Assessment Line of Business. His responsibilities include developing tactical strategies to address and improve the accessibility of Pearson assessment products, and designing and implementing an internal education program around accessibility, online accommodations, and assistive technology. Brent also serves as a Co-Chair of the W3C’s Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Education and Outreach Working Group.
