Marguerite Bergel is a Principal User Experience/Accessibility Researcher at Fidelity Investments, where she is part of the Web Design User Experience team. She has presented on topics related to universal usability for the Web at numerous conferences, including Aging by Design, Usability Professionals’ Association, World Usability Day, CSUN’s International Technology & Persons with Disabilities, Human Factors in Computing Systems, and ACM’s conference on human–computer interaction.
Ms. Bergel has numerous publications in the field and is vice president of the Usability Professionals’ Association, Boston chapter. She also teaches in Bentley University’s graduate programs for Human Factors in Information Design. She wishes to thank Boston’s Visually Impaired – Blind Users’ Group, who taught her most of what she knows about applied Web accessibility.
