Melissa Green

Senior Digital Accessibility Specialist, Knowbility

Melissa Green is a Senior Accessibility Consultant with Knowbility’s Accessibility Services Team. An experienced teacher, librarian, and technologist, Melissa specializes in instructional, accessible, and assistive technology and helping diverse learners, teachers, and other technology users meet their goals.

Melissa got her start in accessibility at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, where she learned about creating accessible websites and documents for Tennessee Disability Pathfinder. She holds an MEd in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in assistive technology from George Mason University and an MLIS from the University of Alabama, where she worked as a technology accessibility specialist and led education and outreach efforts in the Center of Instructional Technology. Melissa also holds a BA in English from Sewanee: The University of the South, where she also studied education and earned teacher certification. Melissa embraces technology’s potential to foster access and inclusion for all, a perspective informed by her work in the disability community, libraries, and information technology.
