Iain Furstenwerth

Ian is a software engineer adept at designing and deploying full-stack JavaScript applications to AWS. His skills include Front end development with JavaScript (ES5 and ES6), TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, Sass, Redux Back End | Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, MySQL, RESTful API Development Testing/Deployment | Jest, Mocha, Chai, AWS: EC2, Developer Tools | Vim, Git, npm, Webpack, Babel, Agile Methodology, TDD. Ian studied Advanced Software Engineering at Hack Reactor in Austin, Texas. In addition to his interest in software engineering, Ian studied Biology at San Jacinto College in Houston. And he has been a counselor and youth educator for the past 11 years, teaching TEKS-correlated courses in Good Citizenship, Social Studies and Biology to students ages 9 – 17.
