[Accessibility_sig] JavaScript Checkbox Help Needed

I am working on an accessible training module that has an assessment.  The
assessment has been reviewed and passed by the DARS Accessibility Review
Group.  Two people with limited vision also took the assessment and found it
to work well for them.  The assessment is accessible.  The assessment uses
JavaScript to keep track of the answers, add them all up, mark the incorrect
answers and allow a second attempt.  After the second attempt or, if the
user presses the "I'm Satisfied" button, the script calculates the
percentage of correct answers and redirects the user to one page if they
made a score of 80% or more and to another if they made a score of less than
80%.  All of this is necessary to give the designers what they want.  The
problem is that the checkbox before each answer that puts a check beside all
the correct answers on "Submit" is active and users can click in it.  The
fear is that our users will click in the box in front of the question and
not answer the question.  I added an alert to the checkbox that tells the
user to uncheck the box and "select an answer from a, b, c or d listed
below."  However, if the person does uncheck the box, they get the alert
again and have to click OK again.  Our designers/developers believe this
will be disconcerting for the users.  Does anyone know a fix for this
problem, a self close for the alert box, . . . ?
