[Accessibility_sig] JavaScript Accessibility

I have been shown a new product of the Texas State Library, and am evaluating it for accessibility +. There is a JavaScript that triggers new content on the page, but it does not notify the end user that content on the page has changed. I am supposed to meet with the application developer to make recommendations on how to make this product accessible. Though I have run through it in Jaws, and I can "get to" the content by triggering the JavaScript enabled links with the keyboard, I already know to expect the new content. 
I am hoping that someone else on list will have a few minutes to take a gander at this and share any comments and recommendations.
